No New Reading. I want you to finish up any remaining chapters of Samaritan, and to look at the Samaritan Assignment I've posted. I’m going to show parts one and two of a very interesting film, “People like Us,” one of the many excellent documentaries produced by PBS. The video is too long for one class period, so I’ll show parts I and II on Tuesday, and parts III and IV on Thursday. There will be some time to discuss the sections during the class period, and I do want you to reflect on the sections in your journal--reflect on the stories individually. This goes for Thursday, as well.
For those who like this sort of thing, I’m making two resources available. The first of these is a transcriptof the dialogue. This may be especially interesting to any of you who are interested in Creative Writing. The second is a Teachers’ Guide, which may be of interest to those of you looking to a teaching career. I encourage you to read these, though I’m not requiring it.

There are games to play, out-takes to watch, and lots of additional resources. Sometime before the end of the semester I’m going to have you play the games, so you might as well do it now (provided you’ve finished Samaritan)
